I have previously written about Exchange Traded Funds in India but then I stumbled across a beautiful infographic from on the same. I must admit I am addicted to infographics – they are a beautiful way to represent what is in your mind. Best of all, you have to write less and make it more beautiful and presentable.
In the US, ETFs are very popular and often used than they are in India. In our country, it is equity diversified mutual funds that are more popular. Though made keeping the US markets in mind, most of the information below is applicable to India as well.

And as usual, leave your two cents of knowledge.

Very informative article, very easy to understand.
Somehow ETF’s never attracted me.

They are not very attractive in India because of their relatively high charges and low returns as compared to equity diversified MFs.

Hi,
I agree it is a nice infographic. I particularly like the section which tells about how ETFs are bought and sold. If your readers are interested to read a bit more about ETFs, they can have a read at http://insight.banyanfa.com/exchange-traded-funds/
